I asked this some time ago and was informed the best source was seeking info through the newspapers. It was always posted as "Sheriff's Arrests" or something along that nature. There just weren't that many arrests or jailed back then to post a listing, as we see in later newspapers. The Arkansas History Commission has newspapers indexed by year in books, and at least two papers, the Democrat and the Gazette, go back more than a hundred years. If you find anything newer, please post for us.
