I have found whom I think is my Potter family member in the 1880 Federal Census-- living in Young Township, Pulaski County, Arkansas: S. A. Potter, wife Caroline The ages and children match up, but I cannot find this family in the 1870 census or the 1900 census. The S. A. stands for Sylvester Arden, b. circa 1850 New York. A letter from his sister received by another family member seems to indicate that Sylvester had a hard life and might have been deceased by the 1904 date of the letter.... I can find no marriage or death information on Sylvester. His children, Wilett, Lura, nd Anson Lee were born between 1872-1878-- Can anyone help on where I could possibly get copies of birth certificates? Thanks, Bonnie- E-Mail: dfago@cox.net
