Try contacting the Butler Center and ask them. I remember going there as a child. The way the man explained is a lot the way I remember back in the late 50's and early 60's when my mother's aunt was there. I can promise you it was not a nice place and most of the early patients were just warehoused as we would say. My mother's aunt hated it so much. If she had some little problems once again after she had been released,she knew she would have to go to the real crazy floor where they screamed and carried on just like animals. So she soon realized when she was going off and when to tell and ask for help rather than go back to that place. I visited that floor just one time and that was just at the entrance and I still remember the screaming, etc. It smelled and it was bad. Good luck!
