S. Senator, Solon Borland, M. D., from Arkansas 1848-1853. Mrs. Fannie B. Moores' obituaries were on front page, Sunday, Aug 24, 1879 of The Daily Memphis Avalanche, and p. 4, Aug 28, 1879 of Daily Arkansas Gazette.       Several of her poems were reportedly distributed within the literary circles of London by Father Abram Ryan following the Confederate States Civil War.       Her work was heralded by Generals Harrell & Pike of the CSA.       At least one, --- "The Dead Confederacy" was published 21 Dec 1871 in London's Cosmopolitan, possibly signed as Violet Lea. This work was written at Princeton, Arkansas in 1865, after the war ceased.       Its said her work appeared in newspapers and other like publcations of her time, never assembled in booklet form which I'm attempting to do now some 126 years after her demise. We have found: The Dead Confederacy, 12/21/1871, London's Cosmopolitan, & 1/21/1872 Ark Gazette At My Fathers Feet, 1933, "The Poets and Poetry of Ark" David O Dodd, 1933, "The Poets and Poetry of Ark" & PCHS's "Review", Fall 1981 Judge Not By The Outward Look, 11/29/1862, Ark Gazette, To My Son's Scrap-Book, 3/23/1873, Ark Gazette Other known but missing work: The Baby of Lillie Dilsey at The North Born Dead and a 1878 tribute to Colonel Harvey Washington Walter's death by yellow fever.
