Steuber, C S, 58, OH Steuber, Mary, 57, OH Young, T M, 40, OH, lodger Young, J J, 17, AR, lodger Steuber, David, 25, AR, son I am trying to locate my long lost great-grandfather, T M Young who was living in Bell Co, TX during the 1890s. Even though his wife reports herself as a widow in Bell, TX in 1900 and later remarried, family stories have it that there was a divorce and there are several stories about his sons visiting him into their adult years. I know that his 2 oldest sons were living in the Pulaski/Saline County area at the time of the 1918 WWI draft registration. His youngest son was named Jewel and could be the J J Young living with this family. This is my biggest brick wall and any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you know what name he is using, you should be able to get a telephone number on him if he has a listed number. There is something that you use but I have no idea what it is called. Some of the younger relatives surely know that and can tell you how to find it. Does he even know you are looking for him? If not, you may want to arrange for him to find out. Good luck!

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/0V.2ADE/349.1051.1 Message Board Post: I am searching for a needle in a haystack. I am looking for an Alick (Aleck, Eleck?) Burks who (I think) lived around Little Rock sometime around the turn of the century . He was born in "Kentucky" around 1879. All I know for sure is that both his parents were born in Kentucky and he was living in Indianapolis, Ind. in the 1930 census with his 3 children (Alex "Junior", Mable and Lucille). They ended up living in Mercer, Tenn by 1934 where he died suddenly leaving his children orphaned. I found a promising lead in the 1910 census from Stuttgart City, Arkansas that listed an "Elex Burks" as a boader (right age and other info), but am not sure it there's a connection or not. His son (Alex "Junior" Burks who was about 9 when his father died) always knew "Little Rock" as someplace that was significant in his father's background, but they didn't know any other extended family members. Their mother had "run off " in the late 1920's and they never knew her. I know there were lots ! of Burks in Arkansas and I'm hoping his name will ring a bell with someone as a GGuncle/cousin/etc. Any lead would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!

(1812) Some of the descendant families did come down to the states to various states and then branch out from there. Just thought maybe this might be a connection to that MILLS of Pulaski Co. I am not sure, but could it also be connected to the MILLS ELLIS family who are also in that same area, or am I repeating myself once more. Have I asked that question prior? Sorry. I lost all my AOL emails and addresses when it crashed. I had to start over. This time, I am printing out all myemails, not matter whether we are family or not.
