Freddie, I noticed the name BUCKNER in Becky's reply to you. My grgrgrmother was Candace (Buckner) Stone, said to be of AL. My last record of her was the 1880 AR census, Bellfonte Twp. She and her husband, Wiley Stone are shown with their grandson, Henry and her sister, Charlotte (Buckner) Rogers. Both sisters are in their early seventies. I think Charlotte (Lotty) went back to AL or GA after that. Candace and Wiley are likely buried in Boone or Searcy counties, but I don't know where. However, I am in Sacramento, CA and we DO have an archive of newspapers from all over the state here, along with the death index, so I can usually find obits or funeral notices for any of your kin that came this way and would be happy to look. (people are always helping me) I think it would be best to send me your request direct to blueoak@ix.netcom.com and OFF the list so we don't clutter up the Pulaski Co list with CA information.
