    2. Vance: You are not going to believe this but my mother is a Wiler.? We have searched high and low for her Grandfather, August Wiler b. unk 1840.? I'm wondering if we have a Wiler connection, now.? Gus was said to have a brother or family up north and that was when he was in the Choctaw Nation - Bryan Co., OK today. Gus Wiler married Martha Risner b. 1847.? I pretty well have my Risners researced back to TN but then nothing.? I just got an email from Robert Risner of the Risner DNA Project and he found a male cousin of mine and is going to compare our Risner DNA with other DNA Risners to see if they match. This is getting really fun.? Only my Germans remain a mystery after 35 years of research. Wouldn't this be something if we are connected to both your Risners and Wiley/Wilers. I can send you some pictures if you give me your home email address. I think my ggf Andrew Jackson Wiley b. 1823-1835, d. 1903, is probably a son of the 3(or 4) Wiley (Wiler) brothers found in Conway County in 1818 and after - William Wiley, Obadiah Wiley, Isaiah Wiley, and Abraham Wiley. Would really like someone to help me confirm this. I have some note of a probate of a will with Andrew Jackson Wiley as executor - but that is in Conway County in 1853-1856 period. This would be the earliest I can find him. He married Rebecca Cato in 1859, they are buried at the Wiley Cemetery north of Appleton. I think this area was once a part of Conway County. A J Wiley supposedly performed marriages while living north of Appleton - perhaps there is some record of this ? I will check for the photo - Thanks, Vance -------------- Original message -------------- From: [email protected] > > Vance: > > My Great Grandmother was Martha Risener.?
