I have two Pope County family lines, HILLIS and TACKETT. Lewis TACKETT and his family moved to Pope Co., AR from Cape Girardeau Co., MO about 1840. His son Moranda and his family were also in this group. John HILLIS and his family moved into Pope Co. from Wilcox Co., AL at about the same time. I descend from Amanda Rebecca HILLIS, daughter of Easter Lucinda TACKETT and George HILLIS.
