Hi Cheryl, I am not sure if my Lee's are connected to Laura and Decater Lee or not. I am not familiar with those names. I do not have my Lee book handy right now to look up who all my Clementine Lee's siblings were but if you would like to e-mail me at [email protected], I will try to look that information up and we can see if maybe we can figure out a connection. I know those names are not in my direct line. However, I am thinking that maybe one of My Rosa Belle Ford Tate's siblings may have had a daughter named Laura and you know how people named people after relatives so there maybe a connection somewhere. My three lines of Ford, Lee and Tate all intersect with my great grandmother, Rosa Belle Ford Tate. Her parents were George W. Ford and Clementine Lee Ford. Rosa Belle was married to Zachariah Benjamin Tate. They were all from Arkansas around Pope County and Yell County and all of those people came to north Texas and settled in Ellis County, just south of Dallas County. Zack B. Tate was a bit older than Rosa Belle. She came here as a child with her parents and he came as an adult with a Tate cousin and they met down here and married in Texas but both were born in Arkansas and were pretty much raised up there. My Lee's were originally from Anson Co, North Carolina before going to Arkansas.
