    3. >From book: Pope Co., Ark. Obits and Death Notices dated 2/2/1887 = 12/7/1893, by J.B. Lemley: July 27, 1887 - Died on the 23rd inst., of congestion of the brain, Bobbie, eldest son of John H. and Maggie E. Hill, age 5 1/2 years. ---------------------------------------------------- Little Jim Potts, eight yr. old son of James Potts, came to his death through an accident while at play on Friday evening just about 25 hours before his death. In running he ran against his play fellow, a little cousin, his head being brought in contact with his play fellow's chest or stomach. The blow was so severe as to inflict a serious injury to the little fellows spine and which caused his death on Saturday night following about 9 o'clock. (Sept. 23, 1892). His death was not looked for until just a little while before it took place. He was buried from his home on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, his little corpse being followed to the grave by a laarge attendance of sympathetic friends, the Sunday School of which he was a memeber, attending in a body. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. George W. Hill, who was here holding a meeting for the pastor, Rev. B.C. Matthews. =================================== Died - August 15, 1888, of croup, Lula Hill, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Hill, aged two years, five months and thirteen days. -------------------------------------- "Dr. Hill, his family physician, says his death was unquestionably caused by heart failure. Mr. (Henry) Walker was about 45 years of age and leaves a wife and several children." (There was more to this one, but it was all about Henry Walker, and the only mention I have made of Dr. Hill, is what I show here.) ---------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ruby Miller" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, July 03, 2008 12:05 AM Subject: Re: [ARPOPE] Pope County Roll Call > Betty, > John Hill, Lula Hill and Maggie E.
