Sarah: I'm looking for information on a Richard Campbell who settled in Van Buren County, Arkansas near Shirley. He was born in Tennessee, 1822-1824- married Mary Ann (maiden name unknown) abt 1842-43 in Tennessee- lived in Ky for a while- moved to Ripley Co., Mo. for a while- arrived in Van Buren Co., Ar. abt 1852- He and Mary Ann had 6 children- Lucretia b. 1844 Tenn- Miranda B. born 1846 in Tenn- Elizabeth M. born 1848 in Ky- Louisa J. born 1850 in Mo. - Alexander or Andrew born 1852 in Ar, and William H., born 1855, Ar. Mary Ann died after William's birth and Richard married Elizabeth Ann Bean- had - 3 children- Elijah C. born 1860 ( my line), Lorilda (Rilda) Ann born 1866- Artie E, born 1875. I have been unable to discover what county Richard was born in in Tennessee or who his parents were. Also, Alexander or Andrew ( census was hard to read) disappered from home (Shirley )one day and no one knows what happened to him. Any help you might be able to give would be greatly appreciated. Also, Richard may have had a brother, named William Campbell who lived in Van Buren co.
