    3. I am looking for Minnie South that married and died in Pope County, Ark. Can anyone help me. Thanks. A few facts Minnie was born April 4, 1868 in TN and died Jan 18, 1960. She married Oscar Alonzo Villyard born July 12, 1866 in Hall Co. GA. and died Sept 23, 1937 in Pottsville, AR. They are buried in Pisgah Cemetery in Pottsville, AR (Pope Co.) They married May 2, 1886 in Pope County AR. Pottsville was called Potts Station at that time because they had a stagecoach station there. The marriage was recorded on June 4, 1886 . Minnie had been living in a nursing home in Little Rock, AR for several years at the time of her death, but was taken back to Pope Co. for burial. Their children were: Millard Paul Villyard b. Feb 1889 Grady Villyard b. Feb 1893 Walls G. Villyard b. Aug 1895 he drowned in Lake Michigan when only 22 yrs old. Naomi Gladys Villyard b. Nov 1889 Minnie Flo Villyard b. Hazel Linden "Skeet" Villyard b. Nancy Wardlow Kennedy 177 Years of McNairy County, Tennessee Heritage Bolding, Burns, Farris, Haynes, Hooker, Huggins, Rushing, Thompson, Wardlow, Wesson

    2. Hi Nancy, I can't help you on the Souths but I am a Huggins. My gggrandfather was Robert Huggins who sellted in Pope Co ca 1850, he was born in 1812 in NC. We also have a Haynes connection. Why not send me your chart, please.?     3. Jean - you and I have discussed the Huggins lines. We are not the same line. I come off of Philip that was in Lauderdale county Ala in the early 1800's. Several of His children came to McNairy County, Tenn. He went to Arkansas and had 10 more children, an old man. This is my Haynes line Parmenas Haynes born 1742 migrated to Georgia Richard London Haynes born 1773 Richard Luther Haynes born 1818 James D Haynes born 1839 Georgia - came to McNairy County, Tennessee after the civil war.
