I'm looking for the death date, and burial location of Hezekiah SNEED, who was 53 years old in June 1867, when he married Minerva HILL, age 41 in Conway County AR. They supposedly moved to Pope County, and he is buried there, but no one knows exactly when he died or the name of the cemetery where he was buried. Would someone who has access to all the Cemetery books please see if he is listed?

Hi Janet, This does seem to be a possibility, Lillian was named in the settlement of her grandfaher Robert Huggins estate in Conway Co, but she was raosed om Yell Co by her aunt Frances Huggins Isom, Mrs Nathaniel Isom, in 1880 and she was married at that time to this Joseph Wood, no other info on him. Your info says they had been married for 2 years which I think would actually been longer than this. thanks. Janet in CA, I'm also in CA, Benicia. Ms. Betty: Is it you that has the books for Pope county? If so do the books cover 1935 to 1940 deaths?? My great grandmother died there about the that time. I have been in touch with the library in Pope county and they have no record. But, a cousin of my mother remembers her death and burial. He was young of course but not so much he'd forget where she died. He was raised in Pope county as was my mom. My greatgrandmother was Sarah Hanna Copeland Hallmark. She was born in Alabama, but her and my great grandfather were in Pope county in 1930 and like I said she died around 1935 to 1940. I have her husband Jesse Hallmark's World war 1 and WW2 registration cards they both state Pope/Yell arkansas as his place of residence. The WW1 record states he was living with his wife Sarah but the WW2 states he was living with a women I believe to be one of the daughters. My grandmother Mamie Lou Hallmark Gray (Jesse and Sarah's) 4th child married Claud Gray there in Pope County This Gray family was and is a long standing family in Russellville, Pope county.
