    3. Beth: Thank You so much. Yes that is my Aaron B Davis. His name was Aaron Broyles Davis and somehow his civil war papers show an alias of Aaron V Davis. Probabily a misunderstanding. My ggrandmother Kessiah Weisner (Davis) was German. The Germans pronunce a B as a V. I really think that is how it became V from B. The affadavit I have says he died the 27th day of October 1880. I am sure this is him. The book has the death date listed as the birth date. He was born in 1832. Thank You Again. When I am in Arkansas, probabily this next fal,l I am going there and look at the headstone. 3. Janet, My gggggrandmother, Leah Broyles was born in 1775 in Tennessee (I think) and married William McGhee. Their son moved to Cherokee County, Alabama and then on to Perry County, Arkansas in the 1850's. Leah died in Perry County in 1861. Do you have any information on Aaron B. Davis' parentage? There's surely a connection here somewhere. Beth --- JANET MASTERS <[email protected]> wrote: > Beth: > Thank You so much.
