My Robert Huggins b 1809 NC got a land grant in Perry Co, AR in 1870 and i believe he is living on that land in the 1870 census with most of his family around him, how can find more information about this land and when it passed from his hands to presumably to his heirs? Jean, By abstract office, did you mean the Bureau of Land Management? You can contact them and they will send you copies of the original records they have on file on your ancestor.
