    3. Perry County Researchers, My grandparents, Elizabeth MOORE and Benjamin F. LITTLETON lived in Perry Co., during 1877. I know this because I have a copy of a letter he wrote to his mother-in-law Roina Blake HARDIN, whose first husband Jesse L. MOORE, (Elizabeth’s father) died during the Civil War. She later married William R. THORNTON, and continued to live in Hot Spring Co., AR., until her death in 1928. Benjamin and Elizabeth were married in Hot Spring Co., in 1868; were in Hot Spring Co., in 1870, and in Yell Co., in 1880. At some time they moved to Perry Co. In his letter dated December 30, 1877, Ben speaks of bad winter weather, the cotton crop yield, and tells of moving soon to a new “place” he has purchased. 1st. question: Can someone who lives in or near Perry Co., do a look up for me. Is there a land transaction, sale, mortgage, etc., shown in Perry Co., records for Benjamin Franklin LITTLETON in the 1877-1878 time period? 2nd. question: I want to find a source of information on history, crops and prices, politics, churches, etc. in Perry Co., in that same time period. I am writing a history of Ben and Elizabeth for my great grandsons. It will be in the form of a diary of a year in the lives of these two pioneers. Can anyone refer me to a book, articles, or do you have other suggestions? Anything will be useful, I am starting from scratch!! Thank you Perry much, Marketta Pimentel in Madera, geographical center of CA.
