Hi! I saw your query on ARPERRY-L. My father's half-sister was married to George Permenter. He was born in 1874 died in 1953. His wife, was Nettie Hickman Permenter. They are both buried in the McGhee Cemetery. Uncle George and Aunt Nettie lived in Perryville, close to the river. He was a wonderful fisherman. They also had a store, I believe it was a little grocery store but I'm not too sure. He also served in the Arkansas Legislature, but I don't know when. The reason I'm so vague about he is, I was very small when we used to visit them. My brother will probably remember more about him than I do. I will ask him and get back to you. Gene [email protected]
