I am looking for any info on the Brand and Seay families - My Brand line is from my father Arvil Nay Brand b 7-1-1918 Perry Co AR m Opal G. Mays; s/o Jesse Monroe Brand b 1895 Perry Co AR d 1919 Perry Co AR m Elizabeth Ellen Ware; s/o Benjamin Franklin Brand b GA m (1) Mary Jane Wright b GA (2) Ida Pearl Gardner; s/o Zachariah David Brand b GA m (1) McPherson (2) Forrister (3) Harbin; s/o Jonas Thomas Brand b NC m (1) Winn (2) Goodman; s/o William Warren Brand b NC m Bryant. I know there are several families from my Brand line living in Arkansas but have lost touch with them and would like to hear from them or anyone working on the Brand line. My grandmother Elizabeth Ellen Ware also married another Brand (David Allen Brand) after her first husband Jesse Monroe Brand died in 1919 - I am trying to find out some info from that family side also. My e-mail is [email protected] Lorene Dee Brand Johns from OKC My Seay line is from my grandmother Elizabeth Ellen Ware - she was d/o Rutha Elizabeth Seay b 1872 AR d Waldron Scott Co AR; d/o John Cunningham Seay and N.L. Hutchins - I am trying to find the full name of N.L. Hutchins, she was b and married to John in MS; John was s/o James Madison Seay b 1822 TN d 1901 MS m Ruthie R. Cunningham; s/o Barnard (Barnet) Seay b 1776 VA m Sarah Rhodes. Any info on the family of John Cunningham Seay and N.L. Hutchins would especially be appreciated. Also, in A[ril this year my mother Opal G. Mays Brand and I visited the May Cemetery in Houston, AR - Houston is where I was born and where my grandpa Jesse Monroe Brand is buried - Does anyone know where the May Cemetery got its name? Are there May's living in Houston, or did live in Houston? My mothers Mays line also uses May and Mayes - and wondered if perhaps it was a relative who donated the land? Is there anyone in Houston (or elsewhere) who would know?? I would appreciate any info - and thanks. Dee Johns [email protected]

Hi Rayedene, I also am searching these same families as being related to the Seay's and the Brand's as well. Have some information on the Seay's but at the present only on Ida Pearl Gardner but not her parents or siblings. Be glad to exchange information if interested and can handle Gedcom if you can as well. Looking to hear from you.
