My grandmother's twin sister married a George Davis in 1920. That is all I know except that her name was Emzie and my grandmother,Edith, never saw her again after they both got married. How sad... Still looking for info on my grandmother and thoguht I could connect with someone in the Davis line that might know her sister. Thanks, May in Illinois
I have a George M Davis born abt 1858. At this time I don't know who he married but would guess he had a son George which might be a candidate for your George. This George M Davis was the brother of my grandmother. They lived in Perry County on the 1880 census. Please tell me some dates and locations and I will see what I can come up with. I also need last names. Hi Listmembers -- I would like to request a marriage lookup for Joseph Wesley Carlock to Dora Adaline ? or anyone else. The years would be between 1900 - 1910 maybe 1908. The most likely counties are Conway, Pope & Yell but any county around these is a possibility. I would really like to determine if there was a fourth marriage that I have overlooked. I received a death certificate that is not mine. Hazel R Booth born 7/6/1885 in Selma Tenn d 1/13/1933 in Searcy White county. If someone can prove relationship to her I will send the death certificate to them. Thanks to all of you for your help. Happy hunting...yvonne ____________________________ Colorado Springs, Colorado reply to [email protected] web page: http://www.rmi.net/~henson Names I am researching: BRENT(S), GRANT, EDMON(D)SON, HENSON, MCARTHUR ____________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com.
Still looking for Ross Rice(nickname Bud) born 1853 in Arkansas?? He was said to be an orphan left on the streets of Morrilton, Arkansas I have not found him in any census in Conway county. In later life he lived at Copperas Gap near Houston--Perry county and worked for Jack McCauley. He married Mary Jane Brown in 1881 and died in 1912 and is buried in Sharpe Cemetery at Copperas Gap. I was told by that he may have lived with a family after he was found on the streets by the name of Waller. If you have copies of the census would you please look and see if you can find him from 1860 forward? Any information would be greatly appreciated. My e mail address is [email protected] Pearl

Thanks Debbie, My Grandfather Charlie Munn was born in 1911. His father was Dock Munn. That,s all I know on the Munn side. My other Grandfather was Claude Ross. He was born in 1903. His father was Allen Ross. They were both from Perry County as far as I know. Sincerely, Neecee
Debbie, Thanks so much! Just in case someone may know him: I am looking for Frank Gardner b 1844 NC, came to Perry Co abt 1890. He ran for Tax assessor/collector abt 1912. I found a campaign card that states "Vote for Old Man Gardner" in a letter 1912 that is telling his dtr and son-in-law, John and Blanche Hanna of Nimrod, of his impending death. So, I am looking for any write-ups of candidates and maybe an obituary to see where he was buried. I have the cem bk if anyone needs any lookups. Maybe I can get the dates right :) Rayedene -----Original Message----- From: Strawberry Fox <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Friday, July 14, 2000 2:57 AM Subject: Re: [ARPERRY-L] Re:DILBECK >Raydene, > >i will see if i can find out about the news papers around nimrod and hollis >area. i will check with our library about the inter library loans. >sorry to hear about your mom hope she is much better now. >i will get more info on the Gene. Janet, i have heard that the counties did change several times in the last 100 years. are you looking at maps? or what info do you have? i can try to see when they changed but i need a discription of where your family was actually living or an address and name. ( the Years) mainly a physical address would be more helpful. no promises, i am still new at this venture. but i can ask questions of some of the locals and check map records, or where to get such info. Please, do you have anything on a James Marshall GUEST who married a Sarah CHESNEY in 1896? They were in Perry,Yell and Pope Counties. I am looking for his parents' names. Thank you, Brenda Texas
Debbie, Do you know the names of the newspapers that were in Perry Co., around Nimrod and Hollis, in 1912? If you do, do you know if there is a way to request certain issues thru interlibrary loan or look-ups? I was supposed to come to Perry Co in June, but my mother became gravely ill and I had to cancel my trip, so I missed that opportunity. If need be, I will join the gen society there. I guess the info on how to join is on the genweb page??
