    1. [ARPERRY-L] civil war records
    2. yvonne henson
    3. Hello listmembers -- Thanks to all the helpful information from the last question I now have another one I need help with. (I don't discount any information that I receive even if I already knew it. I don't always think about things from every point of view!) I found on Ancestry.com the civil war pension "application" for John Harper's wife Jemima. However I can't read parts of it because it is so blurry. I would like for someone more knowledgeable than I am to tell me what the parts are so I can fill out form 180 and request his records. Is there some place that has these records that might have a better copy or something that tells me what I am looking at so I can decipher whether I am looking at a date or call numbers. A different question: If anyone has access to a census index for Arkansas for 1880 I would like to know what is listed for James Wesley Carlock. Thanks so very much for all your help. yvonne ____________________________ Colorado Springs, Colorado reply to [email protected] web page: http://www.rmi.net/~henson Names I am researching: BRENT(S), GRANT, EDMON(D)SON, HENSON, MCARTHUR ____________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com.

    3. Hi Yvonne, Persona) lly, I think you have the same woman in Mary and Molly. The middle name could be a typo. As far as being married to sisters, you didn't say that Mary or Missouri died. So, assuming neither did I think he either 1)divorced or2) was married to both at the same time. It happended believe it or not. My husband's gggrandfather from Perry Co. was married to 2 women at the same time. He had a wife in Perry Co. and one in Garland Co. The family was shocked when I discovered this on the census. My mother in law admitted this to me to be the truth and she knew about it. I research the Martindale, Cockman, Douthit and Kitchens from Perry co. 3. Hi listmembers -- I need some suggestions/help with the family. I would like to know anything about the following persons. I am searching the McArthur line from GA->AL->Perry/Conway County AR. Mable McArthur's mother was Mollie Mary Ellen Harper. Her father was John Harper and his wife was Jimia Brazell. This is mostly theory. I have one census record with Mollie's name on it. I have acquired a Family group sheet for Peggy Blazer's line with some of the above names on it. I am hoping ya'll can either prove or disprove a theory I have about Mollie. Peggy Blazer's Line: John W Harper b 1830 Iowa, Jemina A Jenny Brazil b 1848 Arkansas Children: Rebecca Catherine Harper b 9/18/1868 Perry County, AR married David Jackson Vaught Missouri Emmarlion Harper b 11/24/1865 Perry County, AR married Daniel Bland Theadosha Harper b 1876 *** Mary Emma Harper b 1878 Perry County, AR *** Daniel Bland Thomas R Harper b 1861 Denton C Harper b 1887 AR married Ida ***Could the Mary Emma Harper be Mollie Mary Ellen Harper? Could Mollie's name be Mary Ellen "Mollie" Harper? Mollie was born in 1878 the same year as Mary Emma. I also think it is strange that Mary Emma and Missouri married the same man. Missouri died in 1947. I realize that men married sisters of their wives but I thought that was only when the first wife died. It does not sound reasonable to me that if Daniel and Missouri got a divorce that he would marry her sister. If you know of someone else that might give me a clue please pass this on. 1. [ARPERRY-L] Brazell surname and a cemetery question
    2. yvonne henson
    3. Hi Listmembers -- I have a couple of requests for ya'll. There is a cemetery "nine miles west of Ward". I would like to know the name and if it is online. James Norman Edmondson and Rosie Brown should be buried there, possibly side by side. I also would like some help on my HARPER line. I have in my McArthur line a marriage that I think may be the wrong names. If anyone can offer help I would really appreciate it. I have James Curtis McArthur married to Molly Mary Ellen Harper. This marriage took place about 1892 in Arkansas possibly Perry or Conway Counties. James' parents were James Sherley McArthur and Martha Elizabeth Lineburger(?). Molly's parents MAY have been John Harper and Jima Ann Brazell. I am certain of the McArthur line but the Harper line does not fit with other information. I have a family group sheet of John Harper and Jima Ann Brazell but Molly is not listed as a child. (The information at the bottom of the sheet is "Peggy Blazer's line" and "Jemina was Valentine's sister". If this person would contact me I would appreciate it.) There is a daughter listed born in the correct year but the name is wrong. Mollie was born 11/17/1878 and died 1/13/1906 complications of child birth. If anyone has any information I would really appreciate any help/suggestions. I am at a loss as to where to go next since this does not fit together. Thanks to everyone who responds to this request. yvonne ____________________________ Colorado Springs, Colorado reply to [email protected] web page: http://www.rmi.net/~henson Names I am researching: BRENT(S), GRANT, EDMON(D)SON, HENSON, MCARTHUR ____________________________________________________________________ Get your own FREE, personal Netscape WebMail account today at http://webmail.netscape.com.

    3. A HUGE thanks to all the people who answered my question about the Goodspeed books!!! Since I received several persons asking for any responses I might receive about the books.
