    1. [ARPERRY-L] William Perry/Sarah J Williams m 1829 Franklin Co GA
    2. Wanda Spegal
    3. Hello, with all the excitement going on lately I thought I would post my names again with hopes some of the new list members may be able to help. My GGGGrandfather was William PERRY, b 1806 prob in NC. I do not know the names of his parents. He married Sarah Joanna WILLIAMS, b abt 1808 in Charleston, SC d/o of Isaac WILLIAMS and unknown DAVIS. The only thing I know about Isaac is that his father was said to have fought in the Revolutionary War. Back to William and Sarah, they were married in Franklin Co, GA abt 1829. They had 5 sons in their marriage the oldest 2 were born in GA, presumably in Franklin Co, but I do not know for sure. Their names were John Bunyan, b 15 Sept 1831, William "Billie" b 1836 GA. Sometime between 1836 and 15 Dec 1839 the family moved to AL poss. in Cleburne Co. That was when my GGGrandfather, Francis Marion (Frank) PERRY was born. James J ( JIM) was b 1842 in AL and the youngest son was born 7 JAN 1844, named Docton Cornelius PERRY. Frank, Jim and Docton moved along with their parents and families to TX after the Civil War. I do have more info about the brother's wives and children if anyone is interested. Thank you. Wanda Spegal [email protected]

    2. Hi Bill Magie, I tried the URL you gave me last night and found it very interesting. However I wanted to find who the land passed on to, I have an idea that Robert Huggins died in Perry Co but I find no records to prove that I was hoping to find who and when the land passed on to his family, hopefully. Huggins is the family name. Thank You very much, Jean Huggins Wingert

    2. Hi Gang, Sorry about not getting back to you! What a week it has been! First let me tell you about Thursday, the FHC was packed! There is a time limit on the mag readers of 15 minutes. After last week, the limit has been changed to 30! They were fighting like first graders, and I told them so.<g> We had to keep bumping everyone all day. And some had the nerve to tell us when someone's time was up. I really thought that they were going to start fist fighting. Needless to say, me looking through the roll of film took forever, and I probably skipped over your people! There is only one reader that prints, and is in the room where we stay, so this is where I do my "viewing," so every time someone wanted to make a copy, I had to take my film off so they could. I am taking all the notes back with me on Thursday, who knows, maybe it won't be so crowded! Like I said, I am real sorry! But I will give it a second shot! Terre

    2. Hi Jean, You will not get much help from me. My nephew Danny Reed live in Coos Bay, Oregon. I noticed on my family history that he had no Reed ancestors listed. I thought to try to add a little to his line. This is what I remember. Mitch and Nancy Preddy Reed moved to Desha County around 1940 or there abouts. They had children: Gladys Reed who married Roy McGill and had children before they also moved to Desha County. Berniece Reed born 1924 at Story, AR (from her obituary) Paralee Reed married Dewey Haynie Audie Reed married in Desha County Orville Beatty Euna Reed married in Desha County Jewel (Hoss0 Appleberrry moved to Oregon Roosevelt (Roe) William Reed married Pauline Israel in 1950 in Desha County moved to Oregon. Divorced around 1975. Danny Michael Reed is the only child from this family. Mitchell Reed had a brother to come from that area to Desha County also. His name was James Alfred (Alf) Reed and his wife's name was Ola. They had a large family of boys plus two girls. I have a newspaper clipping of a family reunion of this family held here a few years ago. There is a Reed Cemetery in the area that they left. Most of those from here are returned there for burial. Emma
