Okay folks, I was infected with a virus/worm today and it attached itself to my address book. If you recieve something from me that looks suspicious and has an attachment DO NOT OPEN IT. Delete it instead. This is what the body of the letter states: "Hi! How are you? I send you this file in order to have your advice See you later. Thanks" Do not open it. Even if not from me, do not open anything that has that greeting. Hope I have not caused any of you any trouble. Rayedene
One of my high school teachers at Casa was W.T. Whitfield. His daughter, Irene, was my fifth grade teacher while I was there. Mr. Whitfiled was at Casa Schools for many years. I really liked him, too. Carole Alexander Hutchings
Is there anyone on the list that is acquainted with the Whitfields on Rose Creek?
Searching for the names Jack-Elbert-William Wiley.
I wish I did have the info. Sorry. I have gone thru my computer-and various other things andcan't find it. Sharon, maybe you can help me with this one - I found John Fearney Phillips' widow, Adaline (Addie) Graves Phillips, in Skagit County, Washington on the 1900 census. That's where I got the names of their children. Also in the household was Addie's brother, but I can't place him in any of the Graves information I have. He is listed as: GRAVES, L., Brother, white, male, born May 1834, 66 years old, born in Georgia, father born in North Carolina, mother born in Georgia, occupation: gold miner I assume he is a son from Gilliam Graves' first marriage. Do you know of any L. Graves in that time frame? If this is my Mary West, she will be my greatgrandmother. She would have been married to James McDaniel West. She will be kin to Evander.I know Evander is buried there in Petit Jean Mountain Cemetery. His father was Elijah West. Elijah and James McDaniel West were brothers. They were sons of Owen West one of the earliest settlers to Petit Jean Mountain. I have lots more if you want to e-mail me private. Rayedene, Thanks so much for the look-up.Sounds like it may be mine.I will send for a death certificate. Thanks again, Clementine
Hi Raydene, Thank you very much for looking for me. Sure don't understand this is my brick wall. This G-Grandfather of mine I have picture of him no information I have been to his grave at the May Cemetery near Houston, I know he went to AR and 10 Oct 1883 married a Malinda Bland and had three children on a farm there near Houston and she died trying to give birth to fourth. He then married Rutha Elizabeth Seay and had nine children by her now the descendants I have but to find anything about him and his family just can't. All I can find out is he had two sisters a Rutha Ware and a Susan Ware and they where supposed to have been born in TN. That is now the brick wall. What is strange is nothing known on him but around 1890 he was supposed to have been tried in a court, his farm they lived on one of his sons lived there until around 1970 when it was sold and probated. Maybe one of these days I will be able to go to Perry County and maybe be able to find something more. Again thank you for your help in this anyway. Rayedene: Could you please do a look up in the death index for my grandmother Florence (Bierman) Henry/county could have been Yell or Perry/ somewhere around the time of Nov/Dec 1919. I am told she died after having twins and the daughter died and the son lived. He was 2 months old in the 1920 census for Petit Jean Twnshp in Perry County taken Jan. 28 1920. My grandfather was William Thomas Henry, my mother was 3 yrs old in the 1920 census and she was born in Yell County in 1916. I appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you Edna Dudley [email protected] -----Original Message----- From: deeno [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, July 03, 2001 12:55 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [ARPERRY-L] AR Death Indexes Just wanted to let you all know I have the death indexes for the state of AR 1914-1948 if you should need a look up. If you do, please limit it to 2 names and provide areas or counties and appox date, if possible. There are 4 bks and it gets confusing looking thru each. The indexes do NOT have obits with them. They are simply names, dates of death and counties. The last volume 1941-1948, has the age, sex and race. If your name is listed, you can send to the state for a death cert. If they are not listed, supposedly there is no death cert. Rayedene
