We had something similar to this. Turned out to be sample tombstones used by the monument company. Names were made up. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Debbra Szymanski" <deb@arkansas.net> To: <AROUACHI-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, March 25, 2002 7:41 PM Subject: [AROUACHI] Finding a home for some tombstones - We need your help! > A few years ago when our local volunteer fire department was putting on a Haunted House fundraiser some REAL tombstones were donated and placed in the fake graveyard behind the new municipal building. Today those tombstones were rediscovered by Jeanette's son, Tim. We have gone through all of the old and new cemetery records and none of these markers are listed. If I remember correctly, the tombstones were being used as foundation blocks for an old house on Ouachita 25 not far from the Lester community. If anyone can help us get these markers back to the orginal cemetery, we would greatly appreciate it. These are the inscriptions from three markers (from Ouachita county): > > Sales, Infant 14 Oct 1941 - 15 Oct 1941 Son/Mr. & Mrs. Brombiek Sales > White, T. D. 1881 - 1934 > Scott, Frank died 9 Dec 1955 > > Thanks, > Jeanette Ponder and Debbra Szymanski > Arkansas Coordinators/State Coordinator > USGenExchange > > > > ============================== > To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: > http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 >
