Jeanette, As you leave the pavement on the little trail, the first graves you come to are what I call the Pharr Cemetery. Surnames found here include Box, Evans, Pharr, Rushing, and Toney. If you continue on the trail for another few hundred feet you will come to a newer section of the cemetery with a new wire fence and gate which was erected around this part of the cemetery within the last year. There is a sign Steele Chapel Cemetery at the gate. In this section you will find Cathey, Jones, and Rushing graves. This section appears to be maintained while the other part is not. Both are on the same tract (about two acres) and are separated by a wooded area. Whether they should be considered two cemeteries or one is the question.
