Pharr Cemetery is also known as Steele's Chapel Cemetery because there was a Methodist Episcopal Church South there from the time of the Civil War until it burned around 1910. One of my uncles and his wives are buried there because I have seen their headstones. My uncle was William Evans, an older brother of my Great Grandfather, Joseph Edward Evans. Keith Whitman

Keith Thanks for the info I did not know there was a around there, I have been to the cemetery, I was told there was another Cemetery Close to pharr but I never found it. Do you know of one there?
