There are three volumes of the index to Confederate Soldiers in Arkansas by Desmond Walls Allen where you can locate an ancestor who served during the Civil War. We have a set of these in our local library and I'd be glad to look them up for you. I searched Pleasant Hill City Cemetery (LA) and he was not listed there. Some of the wounded at the battle of Pleasant Hill were removed to Mansfield, La., but I could not find a record of the Confederate dead there. Debbra

The man I am searching for was Zebulon Montgomery Pike Burckhartt. He was wounded at Pleasant Hill Battle in Louisiana. Family lore says he was taken to Arkansas and was buried there.
