Thomas was married to Eliza, dau of Joseph and Elizabeth Jordan. Their children were Jennett, Samuel, Joseph, William, Stephen, Alfred and Thomas. I have found Thomas Sr and children Jennett, Samuel, Joseph and Thomas in 1850 Oachita County, Arkansas, Census. Civil War records indicate that Samuel was born in Tennessee in 1839. I am seeking descendants. __________________________________ Yahoo! Mail - PC Magazine Editors' Choice 2005 http://mail.yahoo.com

Found quite a bit on your Jordan Clark and family.....Hard to tell which "Slave Owner" "owned" Jordan. Historically, Slaves took the "masters" surname. Also, the Slave Schedules did not list out the "slaves" name, just the owner and then number of slaves, their age, sex and color. Jordan would have been about 14/15 during the 1850 Slaves Schedules. I've listed the owners that had a male in that age range. I know she had at least two other brothers, Earl Hicks Barker and Gus Barker. I believe they lived in the El Dorado area, while a sister later lived near New Orleans. Question: Is the "Tallin" Barker mentioned as James' wife Pauline Ryan? My grandfather mentioned Pauline as Bendette's mother, but this is the first I've heard of this name/nickname. Also, James listed Georgia as his father's birthplace, but I've come up short on finding where in Georgia he may have come from. Thanks in advance for any help...
