    3. Ed, Thanks for the info. By the way, I sent you an earlier email about Isom and Martha Morgan in Camden. It was in response to an email from someone else where you were asking about Martha and Isom Morgan and the surname Allen. The Isom and Martha Morgan I know were African American/Mulattoes. By chance, are they the same ones you were searching for? ghbanes Ed Sanders <[email protected]> wrote: Gail, I don't know of a black newspaper in Camden, though there could surely have been one or more. 1. William Ingram of IL AR MO b. 1827-1829?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/XV.2ADI/846 Message Board Post: We are looking for any record that might show who the parents of my husband's great-grandfather, William Ingram/Ingraham, are. I have found census records of our William dating back to 1860 in Waynesville, Pulaski Co., MO. We believe that his wife at that time was Jane Scribner Wilkerson Ingram. It shows that he had 2 daughters born in Arkansas abt. 1855 and 1857 (Jane and Charity) and a son born in MO abt. 1858 (James Walton Ingram). I am wondering if the James and Nancy Downey Ingram family living in 1850 in Smackover, Ouachita, AR might be our William's parents. Their William was born in IL, as ours was, but he seems to have been born in 1832, not 1829 or 1827. James Ingram continued to live in Arkansas until 1870 census records him as 90 years old. But, their son, William, seems to have disappeared after 1850 and no one seems to know what happened to their William. I think that despite the 3 year age difference in the census records, it is quite possible that this William, son of James and Nancy Ingram, is our William. If so, we believe that William married around 1854 at age 22 or ?, in Arkansas, had 2 daughters and then moved his family to MO where his son was born. His wife died and he married Eliza "Jane" Scribner Wilkerson. His 1860 MO household shows "Jane," his children, her children and other stepchildren. When "Jane" died, he married Margaret "Peggie" Martin and is listed in the 1870 census in Poplar Bluff, Butler, MO with all of his children from the 3 marriages as of 1870 (more were born later), and a widowed mother-in-law, Malinda Martin, and her children. If anyone can help verify whether or not our William Ingram is the same as the the James and Nancy Downey Ingram's son, William Ingram, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks, Ruth Ingram

There are two ALLEN marked graves at Tates Bluff-- ALLEN, D.M. 02 Feb 1848-19 Apr 1919 ALLEN, Henry M. 27 Jul 1870-26 Apr 1936 The only Martha MORGAN listed in the cemetery index of Ouachita Co, AR is: MORGAN, Martha, C. 1878 - one date only.
