The Tucker I am looking for might have married an Elizabeth Badeau from LA or MS. At one time we thought we had them connected to Jane Humphry, but that is not correct. John Jefferson Tucker was born in 1845 in McComb, MS, the son of the above query.J.J. Tucker married (in 1875) Anneta Whitcomb of Covington St. Tam., LA. JJ. and Anetta named one of their sons, Thomas Brinsfield Tucker. There might be a Brinsfield connection. We are having a devil of a time finding out about his parentage. Family lore is very confusing and contridictory! HELP, HELP, HELP! Thanks, Jana Rooke

    3. Hi Ed, wonderful to hear from you. No I'm afraid I do not have anything except the 1850, 1860, 1870 Census on Cyntha and it is an assumption about her being a delaughter, based on the fact that she is from South Carolina as were they and the jones and she has 2 of Margaret Delaughters youngest children with her on the 1870 census. My husband and I plan a trip down there soon to see if we can find anything else on the three families. It took me 20 years of hard work (lol) to sift thru celia Amanda Jones 4 marriages to finally find proof that she was a child of Joseph and Margaret Jones. I do have all 4 of her marriage Licences now and have recently found 2 distant cousins, 1 is decendant of George Emerson Jones and the other is a descendant of Augustus Jones (whose name is really William Augustus Jones, They are both children of Margaret and Joseph Jones. I would love to find out more about Joseph and his family, one of those cousins said her grandmother wrote a letter years ago and said in it some stuff about Joseph Jones, one of the things he said was that Joseph was subject to making his own corn Liquior and mostly drank it himself lol. I cant find either Margaret or Joseph after 1860 have no clue what happened to them, only know that their children are living elsewhere. I have Land records for Solomon Delaughter, Joseph Jones, some of the other Delaughters. Basically I have jsut got started good on this line because of the length of time it took me to get past Celia's 4 marriages. I would be happy to shar what i have if you would like it and I would love to know how to get that book you mentioned and more info on the Delaughters, Jones. Perhaps if we work together we can break this wall we all seam to be butting up against. Linda Ed Sanders <[email protected]> wrote: Linda, Have not had any luck finding the Joseph JONES family.
