    3. Elizabeth COX/COCKE married David DeLAUGHTER in Clark Co, AR, about 1850. David's family was from SC. Soloman DeLAUGHTER married Susannah TRAYLOR in SC. They migrated to Hot Spring Co, AR in 1840s, then to Ouachita Co in 1850. They were counted in the 1850 census in both counties. Meantime, David married Elizabeth. There was some question about her surname at the time and that controversy has continued. Best wishes, Ed On Aug 14, 2006, at 5:47 PM, P&S Honore wrote: > Dee,I know nothing about the Cocke famil. Margaret Jane Hildebrand of Bluff City about 1873. I don't know what county! They are on the 1880 Census of Ouachita County with their oldest child Thomas T. Mitchell. Martin Mitchell was born abt. 1851-1855 in AR. His bro. or cousin Thomas may have mar. another Hildebrand , half sister to his wife. There is a couple on the 1870 Ouachita Census for 1870 that could be the parents of Martin & Thomas Mitchell. they are listed in Lafayett Township, Camden Post office Pg no 14 House no. 96 A.J. He was born around 1812 and resided in South Carolina before moving to Arkansas. I suspect that he migrated in 180 with his wife and children and then they returned without him to South Carolina.
