IS THERE ANY CHANCE I COULD GET SOMEONE TO TAKE PICTURES? THANKS, NAN
Ouachita Researchers...... Help, please. Question regarding the naming of Townships in early Ouachita and Calhoun Counties, ARK. Was LIBERTY Township in Ouachita County (1850 Census) the same area designated as FAYETTE Township in Calhoun County (1860 Census and later)? I believe that they were the same area, located south of Hampton, down around Artesian in lower Calhoun County. Thanks for any help...... Bill King [email protected]
Nan Yes I can go out there the first chance I get. The name of the church is Red Hill Methodist church. I don't know of an online survey of this cemetery. You might try the find a grave web site. There might be a photograph of your grandfather's marker online. http://www.findagrave.com/
WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE CHURCH IN RED HILL WITH THE CEMETERY? MY GREAT GRANDFATHER IS BURIED THERE. I AM TRYING TO LOCATE THE CEMETERY ONLINE OR IN A BOOK. THANKS, NAN WHITNEY GORTON [email protected]

I am wondering about the communities of Carouse and Red Hill. There is a Carouse in 1860 and 1870 but not in 1880 census. Does anyone know what cemeteries are located near these communities? Also, is there a place on-line to read marriage records for Ouachita Co., particularly 1850 forward? Thank you, Marla Goodrich Researching Gullet/Gullick/and spelled Gully in the 1870 census. BARKHIMER REUNION SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 16, 2006 8:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. WHITE OAK LAKE STATE PARK PAVILION Hello to each and all: Our reunion will be held on Saturday this year. We thought this might give those of you traveling from a distance to be able to return home earlier on Sunday. This will also give you an opportunity to visit a day longer with those here in Camden. There will be family camped in the park beginning Wednesday before the reunion, and staying through the next Wednesday. At the time of this writing, the Puckett's and the Steve Barkhimer's, from Oklahoma will be camped, the Linda Barkhimer King family will be there too. Our campsite will be # 34, beginning Thursday, September 14th. Why don't you consider bringing your camper and stay a few days. Should you decide to come stay at the park, you need to make reservations now at 870-685-2748. We welcome anyone who would like to come up in the evenings and visit. Who will win the prizes? Who will travel the farthest, be the oldest, and who will be the youngest. There will be prizes given for each of these. "Lunch is served at 12:00 noon" This will give everyone time to get to the park mid morning, for visiting, and then have lunch. Due to the fact that most people get to the park early, they begin to leave shortly after lunch. Therefore, we only rent the pavilion for a half-day. The rental is $45.00 this year so we will be accepting donations. Anyone is welcomed at our campsite each evening or after 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. We hope to see you at the park, so bring your lawn chairs, and get ready to meet other Barkhimer families and enjoy the fellowship. Help me spread the word. I do not have everyone's address. For further information, contact: Linda King at 870-231-4855 or e-mail [email protected]; or Jessie and Adries Barkhimer at 870-574-0837; "See you at the Reunion" Linda Barkhimer King __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
