My rule about my file is this: If it's not "sourced" it was added prior to 2000 and might very well be just conjecture. If it's sourced, you have your answer and if I'm just guessing or putting 2 & 2 together - then I make personal comments on why I believe it is so under the source material or in the person's notes. Also anything two - three generations prior to myself has been drawn from my personal knowledge or a family members. Nancy Chidester died on 23 Dec 1861 and is buried at the Wheeler Prairie Cemetery in Dunkirk Township, Dane County, Wisconsin. I have taken a photo and would be happy to forward it to you. Jerome C. Chidester is buried in a family plot at the Riverside Cemetery in the City of Stoughton, Dane County, Wisconsin. Also have photos and family info to share if you are interested. Jerome C. Chidester was born 26 July 1821 Otsego Co. NY, married Larise Jane Clark probably ca 1846 and died on 23 Oct 1899. They had five daughters. My great-grandfather was David Chidester, a first cousin of Jerome C. Chidester. David's father was Moses Chidester who married Esther Way. David and Ruth Celina Reed were married on 14 Feb 1849 in Otsego Co. NY and immigrated to Dane County, WI by June when he purchased property adjacent to Jerome C Chidester in the township of Dunkirk, Dane Co. Wisconsin. At the moment our desktop computer with the pictures is in for repairs, so I am unable to attach any photos or files. Just reviewed your post, I also have info on Salome Chidester, who married James Haner and settled in Dunkirk also. My maternal grandfather Herman David Chidester, my mother, Vera Ruth Chidester, and I attended Hanerville Grade School.
