    3. As it's a copyrighted column, I'm forwarding the entire column, but of particular interest to genealogists researching in Arkansas is the "Arkansas History Commission Redesigns Site, Three New Searchable Databases" story. There are three sites linked from the story that are particularly relevant - Arkansas Newspapers, Arkansas County Records, and Arkansas Military records. These pages list the holdings, not the records themselves - but it's a good resource tool. enjoy, trapper John Lancaster Trapper's Genealogy on the Web: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jclancaster/ Email: mailto:jclanc@swbell.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tara Calishain" <calumet@MINDSPRING.COM> To: <CARR-L@LISTSERV.LOUISVILLE.EDU> Sent: Thursday, March 14, 2002 8:54 AM Subject: This week In ResearchBuzz #173 -- March 14, 2002 > This week In ResearchBuzz #173 -- March 14, 2002 > > Good morning, > > Following are the headlines from this week's > ResearchBuzz, issue #173 -- http://www.researchbuzz.com . > The links beneath each headline lead directly to the > article. > > I want to also mention a news bit from this morning, "Google Offers > Special Syntax Mixing," which will be very handy for us folks who want > to search titles and domains at the same time.
