    3. I hope someone can tell me the days and hours the Southwest Arkansas Archives at Washington, AR are open. I visited there several years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it and genealogical sections of libraries in Hope and Camden. I plan to make anoter tirip there in the next month and I cannot find on the internet the hours of uperation of any of these. I hope someone can help me out. Thanks Marjean Mitchell, Okla. City

I have no information on him. He had a daughter Matilda Sophronia Gandy born September 17, 1832. She died October 21, 1893 in Union County, Arkansas. Does this sound like it is the same James D. Gandy?

    3. Barbara Greenwood and Jewish Rest are two differnt Cemeteries, Jewish Rest is across the street from Greenwood on Maul Road. Now Tom D. Thomson is buried in Greenwood Thomson Tom D. 8 Nov 1834 - 12 Aug 1900 CSA 1861 - 1865 born/ Limestone Co. AL died Camden AR I don't know if this a confederate marker Deb did this one. Now I have started collecting Civil war stuff and I found T.D. Thomson he was in 15th ark inf Johnson's regiment Co. C Pvt. says sent home on business from Fort Donalson TN 14 Feb 1862. Captured in Ark 17 May 1863 at Big River MS sent to Military Prison Fort Delaware on to Point Lookout MD 22 Sep 1863 Paroled 25 Dec 1863 This civil war stuff is not my work so can't say how accurate it is. GenWeb page as a Confederate veteran buried in Greenwood/Jewish Rest? I would also like to know if there is a Confederate marker on his grave, if this information is available. I have not been able to find out who has it. I found among effects of deceased relative formerly of Magnolia, pictures of four young ladies taken 1920s/early 30s wearing athletic gear (probably basketball since outdoor goal visible in one photo). Three of Jerseys read quote LHS endquote, but one reads quote louann endquote. If you had female athlete attending Louann in 20s or 30s, I'll e.mail scaned copy of photos on request.
