    3. Thank you Jeanette, I think that Mollie is an Aunt. I thought that she lived in Little Rock. Her son Hillibee died in Little Rock in 1983. My cousin Benny Wright who was her grandson retired and left Calif. for Camden and I think he died there in 1995.I didn't connect the family to Camden because they came from Smith and Bowie county Texas. I was searching in Lafayette County and Miller county Ar.because My Grandfather Doss Wright lived there. His brother was Chick Wright . I don't know where they died ,so I can get their death certificates. My grandmother Lettie Walker , I can't find her either.

    1. [AROUACHI] Atteberry Families...
    2. Yes, as a native of Ouachita County, I realize Locust Bayou is actually in Calhoun County. However, the proximity of the two counties is close, and perhaps someone in Ouachita County might have genealogical information on the Atteberrys who were early settlers in the Locust Bayou area. Some descendants of those early settlers later moved into the Bearden area of Ouachita County. The Atteberrys also join into the Byars line of Ouachita County...Would love to hear from anyone who is researching these family lines... Jim Lair

    2. Hi! I just read your email request for information about the Graves/Strayhorn family. I will save your email until my brother, Keith, returns from his vacation. He is the geneology buff in the family particularly regarding Quachita County AR since our family has lived there for the past l50 years or so and we still own property there. Had you contacted the Ouachita County Historical Society in Camden AR? They are on 926 Washington St SW Camden Ar 7l70l. I don't have the telephone number. Linnea

    1. Re: [AROUACHI] Archives at Washington, AR
    2. Hi Marjean, My name is Linnea and I just read your email. I think that I might be able to help you out a bit. We had a family reunion of our Douglas Cousins during the Columbus Day weekend. Cousins came in from all over the country. One of the places on our tour was a stop at the Old Washington Historic State Park. They had a tour, a historical re-enactment of a trial from the l800's and had a country style lunch at the Williams Tavern Restaurant. The Southwest Arkansas Regional Archives is located in the Park. They will be happy to send you a brochure. You can write to them at: Old Washington Historic State Park P>O> Box 98 Washington AR 7l862 Telephone: (870) 983-2684 Also I know that you will gain some useful information at the Ouachita County Library in Camden. They have a good Geneology section which includes, if I may add, an entire book on my Reader AR relatives, the Hesterly family. I hope that this will help. I almost forgot to mention the hours. The Park is open from 8 am to 5 pm year round except for Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Years Day. I just want to add that my brother, Keith, is the real geneology buff in the family. He is on vacation but I will save your email and perhaps he can add something to it. We have certainly met a lot of nice folks through the Ouachita County bulletin board. I hope this is of some help.
