Trying to locate the "Family Bible", that Otha Jouett ARNEY used to fill out Tennessee Delayed Birth Certificates, for his 4 children: Otha Jouett ARNEY (30 January 1875 to 26 April 1956) married Nancy Lucy Creacy SMITH (2 May 1877 to 9 August 1956) Their 4 Children were: 1. Myrtie Lee ARNEY (1900-1973) married Benjamin Harrison VAUGHN, Sr. (1888-1971). 2. William Ervin "Bookie" ARNEY (1902-1977) married Rosie C ABBOTT (1926-2006). 2. William Ervin "Bookie" ARNEY (1902-1977) married Carrie CONNORS (1910-????) 3. Waymon Dibrell ARNEY (1905-1994) married Minnie CONNER (1908-1927). 3. Waymon Dibrell ARNEY (1905-1994) married Hazel Adaline VAUGHN (1915-1978). 3. Waymon Dibrell ARNEY (1905-1994) married Virda BROWN (1918-????) 4. Stanley Goble ARNEY (1909-1979) married Berth Claudine MELTON (1914-2012). Now, my best "genealogical" guess, is the "Family Bible" probably landed in the hands of their Daughter, Myrtie Lee ARNEY-VAUGHN, who passed away back in 1973. Going one "genealogical leap" further, I believe the "Family Bible" probably landed in the hands of one of her children. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Myrtie Lee ARNEY (19 May 1900 to 21 October 1973) married Benjamin Harrison VAUGHN, Sr. (15 October 1888 to 31 March 1971). Their Children were: 1. Otha W VAUGHN (1919-1985) 2. James Alvin VAUGHN (1920-1979) 3. Fount Aaron VAUGHN (1921-1944) 4. Stanley Waymon VAUGHN(1923-2003) 5. Maudie P VAUGHN (1925-????) 6. Thomas C VAUGHN (1926-2004) 7. Annie E VAUGHN (1930-????) 8. Sallie Nancy VAUGHN (1931-1999) 9. Earnest Eugene VAUGHN (1933-1957) 10. Bobby Joe VAUGHN, twn (1937-2005) 11. Billie Coe VAUGHN, twin (1937-????) [Note: 2 of my Uncles, children of Stanley Goble Arney & Bertha Claudine Melton, were named Bobby Joe Arney & Billy Coe Arney. Where the "Coe" came from, I don't know.] If anyone happens to know, one of Myrtie Lee Arney-Vaughn's children/grandchildren/great-grandchildren, etc. perhaps they may know, what became of the ARNEY Family Bible, that was once in the hands of Otha Jouett ARNEY & family. Thank you, for your time, consideration, and cooperation, I truly appreciate it. Sincerely, Stan Arney ARNEY Genealogy Hobbyist
