Cora, I have Clark's who came from MO to AR. I do not know for sure that they came into Newton Co. I have had a hint that they might have. Here is what I have, just in case. John Clark, born about 1822 in TN, wife Nancy Clark born about 1832 in KY daughter Martha Clark born 1865 in MO, married John Meeks, had two children: John Jr and Hettie. Nancy was a widow with three children when she married John about 1865. The children are Francis, Larkin and Mary Simpson. Francis married a Henderson and Mary married a Young. This family came to AR from MO, probably to Carrollton Co first. The eventually go to Indian Territory, LeFlore Co OK. I do not know for sure where they were between 1865 and 1894. Thanks. Georgia
