Hi! Time to repost this!! I have been looking long and hard for my "lost" Davis, and a James no less. James was born in North Carolina. I don't know the county. He married Nancy FRY and they had the children listed below. He died between 1845-1860 I believe. Nancy Davis then moved to Newton County, AR where I found her in the 1860 census. Her daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Davis married ABSALOM C. PHILLIPS in 1864, during the Civil War. They were my great grandparents. My grandparents were ROSCOE CONKLIN and ANGIE (TENNISON) PHILLIPS of Newton County, AR. If you have any information on these families I would appreciate hearing from you.
