Jonelle, and others interested, the BLM site is terrific, but there's more information available than just the final document. Ask your local librarian for a form NATF84, which is a National Archives Order for Copies of Land Entry Files. Follow the instructions carefully and in a few weeks, you will receive papers from your ancestor's applicatioin file, which resulted in him or her getting the document you see on the BLM page.
