I couldn't agree with you more! I personally use the privacy guidelines...example if the census isn't available it..isn't posted. And normally I will even go back further 10-20 years to be safe that no family member can be tracked. When I get submissions for my websites...I don't post it until I contact them and make mention of the privacy act and "stolen identities" and question if they are sure they want it posted. 99.9% of the time they decide they don't want it posted. I have seen sites with birthdates as recent as 2001 on living people.
