John Kilmans parents were Thomas Young and Pricie Rash. His grandparents were Matthew Young and Dorcas. John Young lived in the Limestone area of Newton Co., Ark. and lived with one of his sons in Johnson Co. before he died. It has been told to me that he use to be the guest of honor at apicnic in Clarksville, Ark on I believe it was 4th of July, because he was the oldest living Confederate soldier. I have also been told that when he died they did a big write up on him in the newspaper. If you can connect with this family, please get in touch. I would love to share family info.
