My records show: James "Striker"Tennison b:1857\1860\62 (various dates on census records) was son of Allen Tennison and Rachel Eastep. James" Striker" Tennison married Sarah Melvina Pearce Armstrong (she had married H C Armstrong in 1877 )and she married James Striker Tennison on 18 May 1884 in Newton Co. AR. They had children: (1)Becka Jane Tennison , born Apr 1885 do not have a record of marriage for her. (2)Mathew Tennison , born Jan 1887 m: Gertrude McCurley in 1911 in Newton Co.AR Per Newton Co. AR Marriage records There was a Mathew Tennison who married quite a few times but do not know if it was this Mathew. There were several other Mathew Tennisons living in Newton Co.AR. (3)Roma Tennison, born June 1890 m: John H Harvey in 1907 (4)James Will Tennison, born Apr 1892 m: (1)Mary Jane Morrison in 1909 Mary later married Barney Bass in 1913 m: (2)Vesta Etta Smith in 1918 James Striker Tennison killed a man and went to prison. While he was in Prison, his wife Sarah Melvina Pierce Armstrong Tennison, had a child Fanny Leoma Smith, whose father was Henry W Smith (my childrens second great grandpa).
