He had been ill for some time. He was born February 29, 1861 at Lafollette, Tenn., a son of John and Harriet Burse Luallen. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Jane Luallen; five daughters, Mrs. Grace Neighbors of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Nettie Ricketts of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. G.B. Young of Harrison, Mrs. Myme Chapman of Lafollette, Tenn: five sons, Austin Luallen of Durham, Calif., Clayton Luallen of Elmonte, Calif. Clayton Luallen of Elmonte , Calif. Clarence and Jack Luallen of Kansas City, Mo. Hubert Luallen of Lafollette, Tenn., one sister, Mrs. Rusha Davenport of Lafollette, Tenn., 50 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Monday at 2;30 p.m. by Rev. W.C. Land at the Jasper Assembly of God, Church with burial in the Jasper cemetary. I attended the funeral. I was 11 years old. My mother's (Pearl Casey Luallen, married to Clarence Luallen) Bible has the following information: John Allen (there was always some confusion about whether the name was Luallen or Allen - some of the family goes by one - some the other) born Feb. 28, 1861 Lafollette Tenn. Jane Allen born Dec. 3, 1885, Louisville Kentucky (my grandmother and John's second wife) Gracie Evalene Allen, Born Oct. 1, 1905 Charlie Allen, born Aug. 23, 1907 Bessie Lee born May 29, 1909 Walter Austin born Aug. 31 1910 Clarence Albert (my dad) born Oct. 20, 1912 Lafollette, Tenn Jack Devol born Aug. 23, 1915 Jasper ARK Mary Della born April 21 1918 Jasper Edna May born Jan. 31, 1922 Jasper Clayton Hugo born March 3, 1925, Jasper AR John Allen and Jane Mason married Dec. 29, 1904 Jane Luallen died Sept. 1978 Harrison Austin died May 18 1976 Calif Clayton died Oct 15, 1975 Calif. Orus Lester Luallen & Della married March 3, 1817 Jasper Ark Odie Neighbors and Grace Luallen married July 30, 1922 Jasper Orus Lested died Dec. 19 1930 Jasper Ar Hubert Allen 1891 -1985 Lafollette TN Since then, Clarence and Jack have died. Mary, Grace, and Edna are still living.
