The information I have is from a book written about the Ark Greenhaws.and probably had other families listed as well. A lady from Ark sent me about 12 pages about the Greenhaws and I think 3 families they married into. The pages do not have the name of the book or the author tho and I have lost contact with the lady who sent it to me. I have found a few bits of information that conflict with info from other sources, too. I don't know when the book was written so whoever was giving the info may have just considered all the area Okla since so many of Ephriam's children did live in Okla. I think there is references to Hominy and Pryor and maybe a couple of other places. Do you think Okla was a territory back then or maybe part of Col? That is interesting about the boys at Shiloh. Could you send me the llist of their names? Were they all killed? You can e mail me direct if you want to. If you get a chance to go to Williamsburg, Va, John Greenhow'a residence has been restored - The Greenhow-Repiton House as well as his merchantile house. It bears the sign : JOHN GREENHOW, FINE TEAS,1768 and they have a special book for all Greenhaw descendants to sign. He and 2 of his wives, Judith and Elizabeth, are buried in Bruton Parish Cem in Williamsburg, Va. I have drawings of their burial places. His first wife Rachel I have heard is buried in James City, Va and I have not learned where his 4th wife Rebecca is buried. This book I have says that one of the Greenhaw boys who came to Ark had his grandfathers rifle that he[ John Greenhow,] had used in the Revolutionary war. My line comes from Jonathan and Nancy Meacham Greenhaw, Jr and their son Washington Lewis Greenhaw. I just turned 68 so like you, I find family history more exciting now than ever. Maybe because I have more time to devote to searching for it. Ha ha. I have a friend who is a librarian at an LDS library. I will ask her if they have any information on Sol. Will let you know if she finds anything. Good talking with you. Ferne
