HI, I have two Bowen families that settled in Newton Co., Ark. They were in Madison Co., with their mother from abt.1870 to 1890-1900. Two of the children went to Newton Co., in Boxley. William H. Bowen b. abt. 1808 Ky died before 1850 in Mo. Anna Kesner-Bowen was their mother, the children are: 1. John G. Bowen b. 1832 Ill. married to Mary Ann Hadley they stayed in Madison Co, Ark. children: Clara, Malinda, William, George, Thomas, John, Sarah, James,Oscar, Virgil, Julia, and Martha. 2. Roseanne Bowen b. 1830 Ill. married James Bradly in Ill. children..Sarah, Rachel,Charles, William, Isabella, Elizabath, Ulysus. James Bradley and Roseanne died in Newton Co., 3. Micajah Cager Bowen/Boen b. 1835 Ill. married Mary Butler. He was in Madison Co., Ark in 1880 with his wife. They died in Newton Co., I don't have their children. Micajah was in the Civil War.
