In another branch of our family, a distant cousin entered the armed forces as having Native American ancestry. Unfortunately, the Indian woman of the same name as his mother, on the Indian rolls, was six years younger than his mother! I have seen no evidence so far that either Nancy Prichard or Henry Carter had Indian ancestry.
