Hello Delores, Have written to you before about the Burdine families. Thomas Shatswell divorced Canzada Burdine early after their marriage in Newton Co. AR. (they married in 1868). The divorce is in the Newton County, AR. records. Cannot give you the date as my Burdine files are not available (in storage). Do not know what happened to Canzada Burdine Shatswell. The tale in Newton County, AR is that William Burdine's wife was a Vesterman. William Burdine died ca 1866 and is buried in Smith Cemetery (Newton Co., AR)without a marker. William's son Nathaniel Burdine married (1)Sarah Jane Pierce and (2) Emeline Peoples. Nathaniel died in 1924 and is also buried in Smith Cemetery. Have Nathaniel's Civil War Pension record. The early Illinois marriages are on-line.
