    1. Re: [ARNEWTON] BARTLETT Family
    2. Vonnie, The 1900 Plumlee Township was very hard to read. This is what my records show on the Plumlee Twp. Visit 140-141 BARTLETT,William H Feb1860 40 M10yrs TN,TN,TN Mary L W May1875 25 M10yrs AR,TN,AR James W S May1892 5 S AR,TN,AR Frances B D Apr1897 3 S " Robert Dew S Aug1899 2/12 " William M Bartlett is buried in Plumlee Cemetery (b 6Feb1860--d7Nov1943). Linda Bartlett (maiden name unknown)b22Mar1871-- died 15Nov1948, wife of W.M. Bartlett. Could not find a record of their marriage in Newton County Marriage records. Was this William M Bartlett's second marriage?? The Lupers were not on the 1880 Newton Co.AR census. William M Bartlett was on the 1880 Newton Co.AR census in Plumlee Township with parents William T and Martha E Bartlett. Plumlee Cemetery Records: James W Bartlett b:13May1892--d:6June1976 Robert Dew Bartlett b:26Aug1899...d:30Mar1977 Jackson P Luper b22June1844...d:10Nov1923 His wife was Margaret (mnu)born Feb1846, but her burial place is not shown . Is the correct spelling Looper or Luper? The updated Newton County Cemeteries Book has just been published, a goldmine of information.
