Hello Newton Co. researchers. I am new to the list and thought I had better introduce myself. I am researching the NOE family who was in Newton Co. in the early 1900s. James Garrard Noe (usually known as Garrett) and his brother, Samuel, had a flour mill on Rock Creek near Limestone. Some of Garrett's children married into other Newton Co. families. My husband's great-grandfather, Frank Finley Noe, married Rachael Smith. She was the daughter of William Smith and Amanda Thomas. Maud Noe married William Gillean Mabel Noe married William Ogden Carl Noe married Nettie Casey I have a little information on Samuel's children, but not much.
