There is a whole offshoot of this clan in Carroll County, Arkansas. We have traced this line back to the mid 1700s, but have not been able to find the link across to Scotland or Ireland. The lore in our family is that we are Scottish and Black Irish. Black Irish meaning descended from the Spanish stock that landed in Ireland at one point in time.
